We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic, well-organised and multi-skilled individual to join us as a Team Administrator. This is a key support role. You will work across NEF and our subsidiary NEF Consulting to provide fundraising, training, events and communication administration. You’ll be part of a small, friendly team and report to the Head of Operations.
It's important that your English (spoken and written) is of a good standard and ideally you’ll share our values. There’s always a lot going on here, so we’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, who can deal effortlessly with competing priorities. You need to be flexible, practical and willing to help out as needed.

Events and Supporters Officer
We are looking for an Events and Supporters Officer to join our team. This is a new role that will support the design and implementation of a new supporter and events programme for NEF, working across our Communications and Fundraising teams. We are keen to engage with and influence our audiences differently and grow our supporter base, as well as the income generated through events and individual giving.
We’re looking for someone with passion and an appetite to learn - you don’t necessarily need years of experience to be great at this job and we are committed to supporting the right person to grow and develop into this role.
The first half of the role relates to event design, management and delivery. This will range from roundtables, conferences, trainings and seminars to partnership events with other organisations, as well as more bespoke and hopefully fun events for our supporters and the wider public. The second half of the role relates to supporting supporters through engaging and creative communications, digital and print content and tailored events. This will also involve thinking through and improving supporter journeys with a view to increase donations or have more people sign up for regular giving.
This job is a chance to develop communications, fundraising and project management skills in a supportive environment while engaging with cutting-edge thinking on environmental, social and economic issues and movement building for systemic change.
You’re someone who is excited by and interested in social, economic and environmental issues and who believes that radical new solutions are needed in order to fight climate change, reduce inequality and make our systems (be they government, public services, financial sector, etc) fairer and resilient for the future.
You’ll have had some exposure to how effective communications and events can help fuel social change or movement building and are keen to build on and develop those experiences. You are a motivated and effective worker who gets on well with people. You stay on top of administrative responsibilities and are responsive to varied needs of varied participants and programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a think tank by working in a crucial core function. Your work is often behind the scenes and will require working occasional evenings or weekends, depending on the schedule of events. We hope you can be ok with that.
This position would suit someone with some experience in either communications and events or fundraising, in a formal or informal setting and who is keen to learn more.
