First, a national skilling wage can create the workforce we need to create a clean green economy. Second, our housing crisis can be eased by making it easier for councils to buy run-down private rented homes and turn them into good-quality social housing. And third, by removing a stealth subsidy to banks, the treasury could save billions — money that could be spent on raising living standards.
