DON'T MISS

A belated happy Easter to you all! With the clocks changing and occasional sight of the sun, new life is all around. What better time to embrace new thinking, new ideas, and new ways of running our economy? At NEF this month, we have been working on three exciting policy proposals. First, a national skilling wage can create the workforce we need to create a clean green economy. Second, our housing crisis can be eased by making it easier for councils to buy run-down private rented homes and turn them into good-quality social housing. And third, by removing a stealth subsidy to banks, the treasury could save billions — money that could be spent on raising living standards.

Danny Sriskandarajah, chief executive, NEF
