Blai Avia-Novoa
Economist - energy and net zero
Blai joined NEF’s economy team in September 2026. His work focuses on energy, particularly on UK electricity markets, and monetary policy. He previously worked as a research assistant to professor Daniela Gabor at SOAS, where he graduated with a master’s degree in political economy, and as journalist in his native Catalonia.
