Isabel was special adviser to former Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner MP, for three and a half years in both opposition and government. Isabel headed up policy development and delivery across Rayner’s briefs, specialising in housing and workers’ rights policy. She drafted the policy detail of Labour’s Employment Rights Bill and played an instrumental role in delivering the Renter’s Rights Act, Planning and Infrastructure Bill, as well as the government’s commitment to a decade of renewal for social and affordable housing. Before this, Isabel was an associate director at political consultancy Hanbury Strategy.

Isabel heads NEF’s advocacy work across the organisation, building and executing engagement strategies with MPs, policy-makers and wider new economy partners.
