Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer


Sebastian primarily covers European economic policy, with a special focus on fiscal policy. Prior to joining the New Economics Foundation, Sebastian worked for Greenpeace as a climate and energy policy advisor, covering a number of topics including renewable energy and energy market design. He also led their political work on raising the EU’s climate target. 

Sebastian then worked for a Green Member of the European Parliament as a policy advisor supporting him in German federal government coalition negotiations, and working on legislative files including the European Climate Law and the Emission Trading System. Sebastian received a bachelor’s degree in Politics with Economics from the University of Bath and a master’s degree in International Public Policy from the University College London.
