Sotez Chowdhury

Sotez Chowdhury is currently the Campaigning Communities Manager at Amnesty International (UK). Previously he was Head of Community Organising at the UK Labour Party and continues to organise with working class, people of colour and de-industrialised communities. He has worked as a campaigner and community organiser for multiple civil society organisations and alliances such as Near Neighbours, Citizens UK, We Can Win, the Centre for Theology and Community, and worked on social justice issues and developing leaders and campaigns around housing, wages, safety and jobs. He has also taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Queen Mary University and is a co-director at a social enterprise which specialises in community festivals and events.
