Cop26: What happened in Glasgow

Join NEF for a New Economics Briefing to discuss what happens after Cop26

Watch our online call with Chaitanya Kumar, Head of Environment and Green Transition, NEF; Nathan Thanki, Global Campaign to Demand Climate Justice; Camille Barbagallo, Cop26 Coalition; and Izzy Warren, UK Student Climate Network London.

This year’s Cop26 climate conference in Glasgow was billed as humanity’s last chance to save itself. We saw massive demonstrations from a movement energised by the promise of climate justice. At the same time in the conference hall, the scale of commitment needed to avert catastrophe has not been forthcoming.

How do we make sense of Cop26? What happens next for the movement — including millions of young people — who have been politicised by the climate? What can all of us do to build on what happened in Glasgow?
