Tom Pollard
Head of Social Policy
Tom oversees NEF’s policy work on the living income, universal services and housing. Prior to starting at NEF, he was working as an independent policy expert, collaborating with charities and think tanks including IPPR, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Demos on projects related to poverty, social security and mental health. Before this, he worked in a number of roles within the policy and campaigns team at Mind, including a spell on secondment at the Department for Work and Pensions. Alongside his independent policy work, Tom retrained as a mental health social worker and continues to work shifts in NHS mental health services.
