Childcare for parents, by parents — BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour

Our on the ground work to support affordable, high-quality childcare in the media

Britain’s childcare system is broken. But around the UK, parent-led initiatives are taking charge to make affordable, high quality childcare a reality.

Our on the ground work to support and grow these groups — starting with Grasshoppers in Hackney, London — was featured on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

Lucie Stephens is our Head of Coproduction, and joined Megan Jarvie from the Family and Childcare Trust in the studio to explain more:

Parents are telling us time again that they want to take more control and be more engaged in their children’s early years… we know it does work and it is possible because there are models like this in the UK already operating.”
