How can we build trust in a just transition?

Join NEF alongside Platform, Greenpeace and Unite to discuss how we can build trust in a just transition

Climate campaigners, the media and even large energy companies are increasingly talking about a just transition to decarbonise our economy fairly. But many of the workers and communities who have the knowledge and experience to lead a just transition have never even heard the phrase. What does a just transition look like in practice? And how can we make sure it centres the workers and communities most affected by the coming changes?

  • Gabrielle Jeliazkov (Platform) and Mel Evans (Greenpeace): authors of the Offshore Report along with Friends of the Earth Scotland, which amplified oil and gas workers’ views on industry conditions and the energy transition
  • Simon Coop: Co-ordinating Officer of Unite in Yorkshire and the Humber
  • Chair: Rebekah Diski: Senior Researcher, NEF
