Zack Polanski delivered the first in a series of lectures for NEF's 40th Anniversary at Wolves Lane community gardens alongside Danny Sriskandarajah and Hannah Peaker

We recently hosted Zack Polanski for his first major policy speech since he was elected as the leader of the Green Party of England and Wales in a community gardens in Wood Green, London. This speech was the culmination of the hard work and dedication of NEF and we’re immensely proud to see our proposals to transform the economy platformed by a rising star of UK politics.
Zack’s speech touched upon the need to protect UK households from price fluctuations owing to recent hostilities in the Middle East, but furthermore how a fast and fair transition could insulate the UK from inflationary price shocks while furthering our aims to decarbonise the economy. He also spoke about the need for rent controls and renationalisation of the water industry to tackle the cost of living crisis, as well as about the need for wealth taxes to combat spiraling inequality.
